Meet PauSe for Love Team at Public Garden Market this weekend!



Greetings from SANRIO ALL STARS characters!

We will be at the Public Garden Market this weekend on the 11 & 12 Jul 2015 showcasing our handmade fabric goods such as tote bags, wristlets, bookmarks and coin pouches. The HAPPY BOWS & the Flat-it Pocket Organizers will make their debut at the event too.

All the items come in a different fabric print and there is only a piece available per design. Pop by our booth & check out Teachers’ Day Gift ideas as well as our special FLEA price for selected items!

Last but not least, as you may be aware, we will be contributing in your name S$1.00 for each item purchased in our annual Pay-It-Forward Move to our selected beneficiary – Project Happy Feet in September 2015.

In Love with “Faith”

Very thankful for the opportunity that Carine & Tia has given us to work on this special project for Faith, a breeding dog who is suffering from permanent open jaws.

Love her expression in this photo! She must be feeling very blessed to have you, Tia – giving her great foster care, lots of love, filling her heart with warmth!

She wants me to tell you, “Thank you, my Tia Mummy!”

At 39, we decided to set up PauSe for Love – to do something we have always been wanting to do together.

At 39, Serene fulfilled her dream to design her own line of bags.

At 39, I took up sewing which I did not ever expect I would be doing.

At 39, I took up a part-time course in Visual Communication to fulfill a dream to be able to do art together with my boy who loves drawing.

Nothing is impossible – YOU CAN IF YOU WANT!

My Project

Taking things with Gratitude


I were given a challenge to complete in one minute.

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1…. Cleared!

Another challenge & I were fighting with time……..10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1…. Cleared again! Phew!

A 3rd one – but this time, I have to compete with “A”……..10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1…. Both of us have completed it, but I weren’t the declared winner.

Me: Teacher, I have completed mine too, I have given my best!

Teacher: You think you have put in a lot of effort, but “A” has put in even more, thus he is the winner. I will give you one more chance ….”

I remembered I were desperately fighting for time ……. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4…………. & suddenly in my “dream”, there was a complete blackout ……..


The next moment – when I opened my eyes, I started tearing uncontrollably in the operating recovery area. That is when I know – I have passed the challenge!

You may called it a “dream”, but I clearly believe that it wasn’t.

The message I have gotten and will never forget!

*Do not take things for granted.*

Life is short, I have learnt to take things with gratitude, with a smile & WITH LOTS OF LOVE!


PauSe for YOUR LOVE ……

When was the last time we have taken a moment to pause for love – the love for our family, partners, children & friends; our dream & passion; and our community?

It has been clear for my family that I will be a stay-at-home mother (SAHM) once my little darling (Ayden) enters primary one.

For me, it came much earlier than planned……..

I did not have my wake-up call until  Ayden came to me one morning.

Ayden: “Mummy, I think I am not feeling well. I think you really should bring me to the doctor.”

Mummy: “Mmh….. Yes I will. But….. I can’t do it now. Can you wait for me? Mummy gonna rush to the office to settle some stuff and I will come back for you later, ok?”

I left him with the helper and drove to work thinking what a “bad” mother I am.

“Is work more important than my dearest son? But I really need to settle the work first.”  I hated that feeling truly.

As soon as I reached the office, I can’t help breaking down in tears. I have never felt so bad before.

He – a 5 years old boy, has taught me to pause for love – something I should do but I did not remember. :)

When we still have the chance to pause for love, LET’S DO IT!!!
